A Passion for The Arts
Roundtable Productions - Delaware Valley is dedicated to bringing good music to local audiences. We do this in two ways:
The first is by leading discussion groups in the investigation of the Metropolitan Opera's next "Live in HD" cinema presentation or, off season, other operas, operettas and musical events. We have done this for over eight years, as of 2023.
The other thing we do is to bring live performances to live and Zoom audience groups. We have reached audience sizes from about 30 to 90. While our intent is to provide live performers in-person, Zoom is something we use to reach those unable to travel to the performance.

The Music Roundtable's mission is to make a connection for artists and audiences in places where a commercial incentive to do so does not exist. Our presentations have featured Opera, Operetta, Broadway Musicals, Art Songs, Religious Music, Spirituals, the Music of Spain and Latin America, of the Jewish Diaspora and Jazz. We are ready to bring good music in whatever form it occurs to any audience willing to receive it and find pleasure in it.
Musicians need to express themselves to audiences and their audiences, in return, gain enjoyment and insight by interaction with these artists who tell their stories through music. There are many forms of good music but one thing all of them have in common is that this bond is made with the listener.
Whether for a well-experienced opera buff or someone who has never seen a single opera but who has a desire to learn more, we strive to bring a deeper understanding of this art form and the specifics of a particular work. We exchange viewpoints and experience,
with our moderator recounting the history and a synopsis of one opera per session. Then we display several video clips of famous artists in the opera's roles.
They illustrate things in such a way that participants understand the work more fully,
while enjoying the greatest singers of the past and present. This enhances their experience when they see a performance of the complete opera.
Yes, we are a non-profit association, so we do urge your support. Our artists all have expenses associated with the recitals we bring you. They are all well trained and get paid for their performances. While they often perform for us without a fee, we must compete for their time with other paying jobs. The more funds we have, the better chance we have of getting them to perform for our audiences without sacrificing time where they would have a better income.
